Two clubs in opposite halves of the Spanish Liga table will do battle today in a league match between Barcelona and Getafe. The first-division clash scheduled for 10 a.m. ET will be held at the Nou Camp in Barcelona and can be live streamed here free.
Both Barcelona and Getafe enter today's match in desperate need of three points. For Barcelona, a victory will keep their dwindling title hopes alive. For Getafe, the situation is far more bleak. The club is only two points above safety and face the possibility of returning to the relegation zone.
Barcelona manager Tata Martino is well aware of the narratives surrounding today's encounter (h/t to Marca). "The season hasn't seemed like a long one. Until recently, we had options in all three competitions," Martino said.
"I have learnt many things this year. Here, you have to learn a lot, and be quick about it," he added.
"Getafe's needs are not uncommon to ours. One team needs the points to escape relegation and the other to keep hold of its chances to win the league."
"Up until the Elche game, it is mathematically possible to win the title."
