Brooklyn Nets guard Deron Williams, who was the subject of a poster outside Barclays Center asking passersby if they had seen the "missing" player, responded well with a stellar showing in Game 6 of the Nets-Raptors match-up and extending the series to a Game 7.

Prior to the start of Game 6, a poster was spotted outside the Barclays Center asking about the whereabouts of the supposedly 'missing' Deron Williams. As reported by Yahoo!, the poster mentioned that Williams had been missing since February 23, 2011, the date when he was traded to the Nets by the Utah Jazz. It also poked fun at Williams' alleged falling-out with then Utah Jazz coach Jerry Sloan, who left the team before Williams was traded to the Nets.

Fortunately for the Nets, Williams played like a superstar worthy of a multi-million dollar contract when he scored 23 points, grabbed five rebounds and dished out four assists as the Nets drubbed the Raptors 97-83 to force a Game 7 on Sunday night in Toronto.

He told ESPN afterwards: "I know myself, I needed to be more aggressive after the last two losses. In the three games we've won, I've been really aggressive getting into the paint, making things happen, not only scoring the ball but making the extra pass, and so I know that's what my team needs me to do."

His coach, Jason Kidd, paid tribute to Williams' toughness after the former All-Star suffered a mild scare in the third quarter when he collided against Kyle Lowry. Williams returned to the game and scored a crucial three-pointer to help the Nets stave off the Raptors. Said Kidd: " I think that just shows leadership and toughness, and that's what he did tonight for us."
