The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated Los Angeles Lakers 122-105 on Tuesday night. Oklahoma City was led by an impressive performance from their point guard, Russell Westbrook.

Westbrook led all scorers with 37 points, while grabbing a team-high 10 rebounds and dishing out five assists. The Thunder also saw another stellar performance from NBA scoring leader, Kevin Durant, who chipped in 26 points, along with nine rebounds, five assists, three blocks, and three steals.

The Thunder were threatened by a strong performance from Lakers superstar, Kobe Bryant. Bryant scored 30 points, all while playing through an elbow injury suffered in the first quarter.

Despite the strong play of Bryant, the Thunder refused to give up their early advantage and capitalized on the Lakers' mistakes. Oklahoma City dominated in turnovers, only losing possession twice to Los Angeles' 16. The Thunder also owned a superior shooting percentage, with a .479- .403 advantage over L.A.

Another factor in the Lakers' defeat was a disappointing offensive showing from Dwight Howard. The all star center went 1-7 shooting and scored only six points. Howard was, however, affective off the glass grabbing 16 rebounds in the team's loss.
