Masters came out at a Preston City Wrestling event in England on Friday to The Warrior's music and had face paint on as a tribute to the wrestling legend, who passed away tragically of a heart attack due to complications stemming from heart disease on April 8.
Masters wrestled the entire match as if he were the Warrior, shaking the ropes and using his moves throughout it.
CM Punk Returning At WWE SummerSlam?
Masters re-tweeted a user who posted a picture of him with The Warrior face paint and also explained that he wanted to pay tribute to him.
The Warrior had problems with many past and present figures in the wrestling injury, including WWE CEO Vince McMahon, however he spent the weekend prior to his unexpected death making amends and being welcomed back into the WWE family.
Warrior was inducted into the Hall of Fame on April 5 and then over the course of the next two nights he made his first appearances at WrestleMania and on Monday Night RAW in 18 years. Warrior unfortunately passed away the following morning after RAW when he collapsed while walking with his family to his car at a hotel in Arizona and eventually died at the hospital.
The WWE paid tribute to The Warrior by having a tribute video and 10-bell salute to him on RAW the Monday following his death and declaring the week to be "Warrior Week" on the WWE Network with a series of specials that included a retrospective of his career called: The Ultimate Legend.
Masters was the latest in a long line of wrestlers and fans to pay tribute to The Warrior, who was an iconic figure and made his imprint on the wrestling world.
