Below are the results from the TNA Sacrifice PPV that aired live Sunday night 4/27/14 featuring Eric Young's title defense against Magnus, Jeff Hardy (Willow) and Kurt Angle tagging together to face EC3 and Rockstar Spud, Bully Ray vs. Bobby Roode in their Tables Match, Angelina Love of The Beautiful People going for Knockouts gold, and more.
TNA Tag Team Titles: The Wolves defeated The BroMans and DJ Zema in a 3-on-2 match
This was announced as a No Disqualification Match before the bell rang, and the end came when DJ Zema accidentally hit Jessie Godderz with his laptop instead of Eddie Edwards. The Wolves then hit Jessie with successive double foot stomps to win.
Afterward, The Wolves were interviewed backstage and seemed very confident about keeping their newly earned Tag Titles a long, long time:
Mr. Anderson defeated Samuel Shaw in a "Committed Match"
Christy Hemme ended up giving Samuel Shaw a low blow that enabled Anderson to hit the Mic Check on Shaw into the padded wagon that secured the win. Hopefully, the Sam Shaw gimmick just goes away.
Willow and Kurt Angle defeated Rockstar Spud and EC3
Rockstar Spud simply got destroyed by Willow and Angle as Ethan Carter III was reluctant to really do much. Spud took a Twist of Fate, an Angle Slam and a Swanton Bomb at the end of the match.
Sanada defeated Tigre Uno to retain the X Title in the Best of 3 Series rubber match
Nothing much to say here except the two shook hands after a well-done match even if it didn't pop the crowd.
Seth Rollins talks The Shield turning babyface, Roman Reigns learning backstage, more
Gunner defeated James Storm in an I Quit Match
This was an all-out brawl but the crowd didn't help sell the match to its full potential. James Storm landed a ton of offense on Gunner throughout the match, using chair shots, garbage can lids, beet bottles and shards of glass. There was blood (something you don't see these days in WWE) which was fitting for this kind of match, and at one point referee Brian Hebner's belt was even used as a weapon.
Gunner basically kept saying he wouldn't quit and at one point he was defiant and said "Piss off!" Gunner finally mounted some offense and hit three F-5s and then a superplex onto a guard rail in the ring with two chairs to make his huge comeback. Storm finally said "I Quit" when Gunner threatened to stick one of the remaining shards of glass right in Storm's eye.
Angelina Love defeated Madison Rayne for the TNA Knockouts Title
The Beautiful People prevailed with Angelina Love becoming a six-time Knockouts Champion. Velvet Sky distracted the referee and then sprayed Madison Rayne with hair spray and then Love got the pin.
Bobby Roode defeated Bully Ray in a Tables Match
After a good back and forth the crowd was into, the referee got knocked out, Bully Ray power bombed Roode through the table. No win was declared since the ref didn't see it, and then Dixie Carter in a horrible fake mustache disguise pushed Bully Ray from the ropes through a table to give Bobby Roode the win and get her revenge.
Eric Young defeated Magnus to retain the TNA World Heavyweight Title
Eric Young played the emotional victor here after Magnus gave him a real battle. Young had to hit his second Piledriver and an Elbow Drop to get the pin after Magnus kicked out of the first Piledriver. Afterwards, Young celebrated his clean win with the fans.
