At WWE Extreme Rules, it will be The Shield vs. Evolution as Batista, Randy Orton and Triple H take on Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. In the meantime, we can all enjoy another Twitter rant from The Animal as he talks about some WWE fans not knowing the difference between reality and fiction.

In a series of Tweets posted yesterday, Batista said the following:

"Ive always considered myself a WWE fan first and foremost but Im completely confused Y some fans cant differentiate between SHOW and REALITY"

"Also noticed that most critical fans dont have pics of themselves posted or need to take a good look in the mirror! People in glass houses.."

"Anyway...peace to all my positive people! Looking forward to the day when I can go back to interacting with twitches w/o all the negativity"

My first reaction to these comments is that Batista is still bothered by the fact that his return to WWE was met with non-stop negative reactions from fans who thought he was stealing Daniel Bryan's well-earned spotlight. It was just a case of returning at the wrong time for The Animal since everyone -- and I mean everyone -- wanted to see Daniel Bryan win the 2014 Royal Rumble.

Original Extreme Rules plans for AJ Lee before she Left WWE

Then, after thinking about it a little further, these kind of Twitter rants are exactly what Batista should be doing. After all, Big Dave has been successfully trolling the fans since he did turn heel, and he even made light of all the negativity while remaining self-deprecating during the WrestleMania XXX press conference.

And, if you think about it, there are plenty of WWE fans who go way overboard at times, and I can only imagine what Batista's Twitter feed looks like on any given day.

And while I can decipher the difference between reality and fiction in pro wrestling, that's not to say I don't want to see The Shield beat Evolution at Extreme Rules. Not because I have anything against Batista, but because it just makes sense for the younger faction to win in this spot.
