Sophomore guard Jordan Adams will be leaving UCLA to join the upcoming NBA draft, possibly affected by the recent decision of the Harrison twins to return to the University of Kentucky.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, Adams had a change of heart after his alma mater recently announced he would return for his junior season. He will join two teammates, Kyle Anderson and Zack LaVine in one of the deepest NBA drafts in recent years.

He had averages of 17 points, five rebounds and 2.6 steals a game for the Bruins. He was the team's leading scorer and topped the squad in steals. The 6-foot-5 and 220 pounder is projected by most scouts as having the potential to become a respectable shooting guard in the NBA, with his scoring ability and combination of size and strength.

DraftExpress.com expects Adams to be a first-round pick. According to the website, the strong suits of Adams are his ability to get to the ring and constant movement off the ball. It adds that the guard has quick hands, but he also has an inability to stay in front of his defender. His outside shooting is also a bit suspicious.

Wojnarowski predicts that the decisions of Aaron and Andrew Harrison to stay in Kentucky prompted Adams to throw his hat into the ring as the draft will have two less shooting guards which teams can choose from.

With three key players from last season's campaign leaving school, UCLA will be hard pressed to challenge Arizona in the Pac-12.
