There have been conflicting reports in the aftermath of Brock Lesnar defeating The Undertaker on April 6 at WrestleMania XXX to end The Streak, with some saying that 'Taker wanted to lose while others say that WWE CEO Vince McMahon made the call. It appears as though the original booking was changed and The Undertaker ended up losing because McMahon wanted him to.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, there has been a major misconception about The Undertaker making the call to lose his streak when that in fact wasn't the case. While 'Taker was likely okay with losing The Streak since he wanted Lesnar to be the one to end it back in 2010 and it likely wouldn't have ended had he put up an argument, he didn't make the call to put an end to his undefeated WrestleMania streak.

The report indicates that The Undertaker was scheduled to win and go over Lesnar to go 22-0 up until just a few days before the show but plans were changed and Lesnar ended up defeating him after hitting his third F-5 of the show to knock 'Taker's WrestleMania record down to 21-1.

McMahon reportedly was the one who changed his mind just days prior to the match because of 'Taker's physical condition and there being a good chance that WrestleMania XXX may be 'Takers last match. McMahon is a proponent of legends going out on their back to retire, and with 'Taker likely not returning for another match, the CEO made the decision to end The Streak.

It was rumored that The Undertaker would face Sting at next year's WrestleMania 31, however McMahon was working under the impression that it would be 'Taker's final match and that The Streak should end, even though McMahon was reportedly against ending it in the past.

The fact that The Undertaker received a concussion during the match adds to the belief that he could be done with wrestling. McMahon reportedly rode in an ambulance with 'Taker after he got hurt and missed the main event as Triple H and Stephanie McMahon ran the show from that point on.

As far as The Undertaker's reaction to McMahon's decision, the report indicates that there are mixed reports from sources close to the Dead Man.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, one friend close to 'Taker said that he had to be talked into losing while another source close to him said that 'Taker didn't argue the decision.

Whether or not Lesnar was the right guy to end it is up to debate, but it has given manager Paul Heyman some great material to work off of in Lesnar's absence from WWE television.

Only McMahon and The Undertaker know for sure what 'Taker's real thoughts were on ending The Streak, but one thing is for certain, The Streak is over and Lesnar is the man who ended it, regardless of how the fans or The Undertaker feel about it.
