Two clubs chasing Copa Libertadores glory will do battle today in a cup match between Club Nacional and Velez Sarsfield. The Round of 16 clash scheduled for 6:45 p.m. ET will be held at the Estadio Arsenio Erico in Asuncion and can be live streamed here free.
Both clubs enter the first leg of this Round of 16 tie in hopes of advancing to the quarterfinals of the Copa Libertadores. In order for Club Nacional to be the one to do so, club manager Gustavo Morinigo believes possession of the ball is key (h/t to Ole). "Nothing is impossible. Nothing can be guaranteed," Morinigo said. "You have to fight for the title," he added.
"Against a team like Velez, you have to keep the ball away from them or else it will complicate things."
Winning the midfield battle will be vital if Nacional is to win a majority of the possession and dictate the tempo of the match. Will they be able to in front of a home crowd tonight? Tell us @SportsWN
