WrestleMania 21: Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio fought each other marking the first time that the WWE Tag Team Champions went one-on-one at WrestleMania. It would prove to be Guerrero's final WrestleMania as he passed away in November of 2005.

Interesting stories, myths and urban legends from WrestleManias 11-21

WrestleMania 22: Bret "Hitman" Hart was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame the night before WrestleMania 22, but he didn't appear on the actual pay-per-view alongside the other Hall of Famers that the WWE displays annually at the show. The explanation was that Hart was uncomfortable in participating.

For the first time since WrestleMania XV (1999) the Royal Rumble winner didn't appear in the main event as Rey Mysterio won the World Heavyweight Championship in the middle of the show.

CM Punk made a cameo at this event, playing the role of a gangster for John Cena's elaborate entrance, marking his first 'Mania appearance.

WrestleMania 23: Ashley Massaro fought Melina at the event and was reportedly in tears after the match because she realized it was awful. The match almost didn't happen as it was almost cut due to time constraints and the Divas didn't know if the match was going to happen until moments before going out.

WrestleMania XXIV: After The Undertaker defeated Edge in the main event, the WWE had a pyro mishap as some fireworks shot into the stands and injured about 40 people. The paramedics were delayed in getting to the scene because of the traffic coming out of WrestleMania at the Citrus Bowl.

WrestleMania XXV: The original plans for this event called for Mickey Rourke, star of The Wrestler to face Chris Jericho in a one-on-one match, however after Rourke revealed the plans at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, his agents told him to back out of the match so that he didn't cost himself an Oscar. Jericho ended up defeating Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat in a handicap match and Rourke punched him out after the match.

Vince McMahon originally wanted Greg "The Hammer" Valentine to join Piper and Snuka, but Jericho reportedly insisted that Steamboat get the nod. It ended up being a good call as Steamboat and Jericho stole the show.

WrestleMania XXVI: Bret "Hitman" Hart made his WrestleMania return for the first time in 13 years as he last performed at WrestleMania 13 in 1997. He defeated Vince McMahon in a street fight at WrestleMania XXVI.

WrestleMania XXVII: John Morrison snubbed Trish Stratus after the two of them teamed with Snooki to defeat Dolph Ziggler and LayCool in a six-person inter-gender tag team match. Morrison was dating Melina at the time and was reportedly miffed that she was kept off the card while Stratus was able to be in their match after a long hiatus from the company. After the match, Trish went to high-five Morrison on their victory and he snubbed her.

WrestleMania XXVIII: The Rock fought in his first WrestleMania match since WrestleMania XX in 2004, taking on John Cena in the main event. Though the match was billed as "Once in a Lifetime," the two had a rematch the very next year at WrestleMania XXIX.

WrestleMania XXIX: CM Punk took on The Undertaker and went after his undefeated streak at this event. Even though it's considered an honor to take on 'Taker at WrestleMania, Punk was vocally upset at his role on the card, saying in an interview that weekend that he wished it was him facing John Cena in the main event instead of The Rock, noting that he didn't want to go after The Streak and would rather have been in the main event.

The Rock received an injury during his match with John Cena and was reportedly originally supposed to win the match until the WWE changed its mind and gave the nod to Cena.
