The Miami Heat are expecting Dwyane Wade to soon return to their lineup after missing five straight games with a strained left hamstring.

LeBron James recently pronounced his running mate as improving and set to return "within the next week." The Miami Herald adds the Heat appear to have no concerns about Wade being available for the playoffs in two weeks.

"He's out there a few minutes at practice, not too heavy," said veteran forward Udonis Haslem. "He's moving pretty well. He's getting better. Hopefully, he'll be back a couple of games before the playoffs. I'm sure that's what he's hoping for. It's nothing we want to push. We need him for the playoffs."

After losing six of its first 11 games without Wade this season, the Heat apparently have learned to compete without their All-Star guard, winning 11 of their past 12 games he has not played in.

"It may be a little bit of a rhythm thing," James said of reincorporating Wade. "It's something you can't take for granted. Obviously, we've been together for almost four years now, but you can't take those opportunities for granted. We haven't practiced much together. We haven't played as much. So see what happens when we get out on the floor. It's going to be very challenging. But I think it's something we can figure out."
