Tim Tebow is slated to be on hand for the 40th anniversary of the Ouachita Christian School in Louisiana later this month, where he will be feted for his humanitarian work as work as well as celebrated for his Heisman Trophy winning resume.

The man tabbed as one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People of 2012 will be one of the headline attractions at the OCS Benefit Event at the Jack Howard Center at the Monroe Civic Center. Part of the ceremony will reflect on The Tim Tebow Foundation that the former Florida star partnered with CURE International to build in 2010 that now builds hospitals in the Philippines.

Among its other charitable endeavors, the foundation also grants wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses and builds playrooms in hospitals and orphanages. It's all proven to work wonders, in terms of the former NFL quarterback becoming one of the sport's world's most popular, with more than two million Facebook and Twitter followers each. He also wrote a best-selling New York Times memoir entitled Through My Eyes.

More recently, the 26-year-old former first-round draft pick has expressed an interest in reviving his NFL career. Tebow last played in the NFL with the Jets in 2012, one season after he enjoyed the best season of his career with the Broncos, passing for 1,729 yards and 17 touchdowns.

Tebow recently told reporters "I'm training really hard for that, just about evry day. I really feel like I'm at the best I've ever been. It's something that I'm really passionate about, playing football."
