Arizona Wildcats freshman forward Aaron Gordon is expected to declare for the 2014 NBA Draft.

The ink had barely dried on the Wildcats 64-63 Elite Eight loss to Wisconsin Saturday night and rumors were already swarming about Gordon's future at the next level.

Arizona depending on defense to lead way

Gordon finished with eight points and 18 rebounds in what likely amounts to his last game in an Arizona uniform. All season long, his family has been vocal and open about expecting their son to join the ranks of the NBA.

Who in freshmen class viewed as franchise player?

ArizonaSwarm.com reports Gordon was in tears after the game. Throughout the season, the high-jumping forward showed marked signs of improvement, shooting nearly 50 percent from the field and 36 percent from three-point distance in averaging 12.4 points and eight rebounds.

Against the Badgers, Gordon's intangibles were also on full display, as he guarded everyone from 7-foot star center Frank Kaminsky to point guard Traevon Jackson.

The 18-year-old Gordon is expected to be a lottery pick in a loaded draft that could also feature fellow freshmen starts Jabari Parker, Andrew Wiggins and Joel Ebiid.
