Outspoken Seattle Seahawks All Pro cornerback Richard Sherman is coming to the defense of his boyhood pal DeSean Jackson.

USA Today Sports reports Jackson Sherman recently took to social media to post of the two California natives "@DeSeanJackson10 and me have been boys since we were kids... no one should be judged by the actions of others."

Eagles cut ties with DeSean Jackson

Jackson came under and a storm of criticism and was actually cut by the Philadelphia Eagles last week after news reports surfaced some within the organization fear he may have gang ties and was becoming bad influence on the team's younger players.

The newspaper adds the Eagles were already actively shopping Jackson and after a NJ.com story broke this week detailing even more sordid allegations lodged against him, the team decided to act even more quickly.

Jackson has since released a statement denying any gang ties and the LAPD has confirmed that he was not a target of any of their investigations.

Former Giants running back Derrick Ward has also passionately come to Jackson's defense, ripping both the Eagles and ESPN for what he deemed the unprofessional and racist manner in which they handled the situation.
