Seattle Mariners roster 2014 commercials [VIDEOS]: 'King Felix' appears 'King Tut,' Robinson Cano is all about slo-mo in ads for the team

The Seattle Mariners enter the 2014 Major League Baseball campaign with a revamped roster and playoff aspirations. Before the team's quest to make the playoffs for the first time since 2001 begins, the team stopped to have a little bit of fun.

The Mariners released a series of comical 2014 commercials with members of their roster stemming from ace 'King' Felix Hernandez, to newly imported second baseman Robinson Cano.  The team pried Cano away from the New York Yankees to the tune of a 10-year, $240 million deal.

The Mariners will look to bounce back from a 71-91, fourth place AL West finish last season. If their commercials are any indication, there shouldn't be any continuity issues.

Hernandez, who went 12-10 with a 3.04 ERA last season with the Mariners, gets a different crown each time he strikes out a hitter in his version of the commercial:

Pitcher Hisashi Iwakuma, who went 14-6 with a 2.66 ERA last season, showcased a new talent in his commercial:

Third baseman Kyle Seager, who hit .260 with 22 homers and 69 RBI last season, appears to be so out of touch with technology in his commercial that he tweets via a typewriter:

Cano, who was the best player on the battered Yankees last season, hit .314 with 27 homers and 107 RBI for the Bronx Bombers, will look to get acclimated with his new team. Before Cano does that, he can be seen in his commercial living in slow-motion while dramatic music accompanies him.

The commercials even delve into Henry Chadwick, who created the box score and the use of the word 'K' for strikeouts, with the Mariners intimating that he had 'King Felix" in mind when he opted to have the letter 'K' stand for strikeouts.

The Mariners kick off their season on March 31 when they visit the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Fans who are bored and can't wait that long to see their favorite stars, these commercials should hold you over.
