The Jonathan Martin saga looks to have entered its final act as the Dolphins traded Martin to the 49ers for a conditional pick. Martin gets to attempt to rebuild his career in a familiar scene in California with a familiar face in former college coach Jim Harbaugh.

The Darrelle Revis Saga to be Resolved Quickly?

Martin was traded late Tuesday night to a very active 49ers team that also dealt for Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert. The Miami Dolphins front office has made good on their promise to bring change to their culture. Not only did the Dolphins trade Martin out of a toxic environment for him , but they traded him close to home to the man that recruited him in high school to play at Stanford.

NFL Draft Preview Seattle Seahawks

If this were a movie and you were looking for a nice redemption story, this is how they start. Martin can try and turn his career around and hopefully still seek help for the trials he went through in Miami. I’m sure Martin, Richie Incognito, Joe Philbin and the Dolphins organization are all happy to put this ordeal behind them and move forward.

Will Titans Cut Chris Johnson? RB Underrated?

From a football standpoint Martin will compete for a starting job on one of the leagues best offensive lines against Joe Staley and Anthony Davis. If nothing else Martin will bring depth to an already stout offensive front. The pick the 49ers send to Miami is conditional and the picks conditions are undisclosed, but it’s sure to be filled with how much Martin plays and unfortunately includes the possibility of another episode. Hopefully it never comes to that point again and the NFL puts Bully Gate behind them for good.
