Two clubs in the top half of the Premier League table will do battle today in a league match between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur. The first-division battle scheduled for 12:30 p.m. ET will be held at Stamford Bridge in London and can be live streamed here free. Additional TV coverage can be found on NBC Sports Network.
Both clubs enter Week 29 riding a wave of momentum. A 3-1 smashing of Fulham Football Club on March 1 ensured Chelsea would be at the pinnacle of the Premier League table with 63 points. Despite the possibility of moving seven points clear of second with a victory over Tottenham, manager Jose Mourinho refuses to accept his club are title favorites (h/t to Sky Sports). “I keep saying [going seven points clear] is not a realistic position,” Mourinho said. “A realistic situation is teams with the same number of matches and in that situation you can say 'I am in front, I am behind' or 'I have some points advantage or disadvantage.’”
Tottenham, of course, would fall 13 points back of the league leaders with a loss today. Their stake is in a top-four spot for UEFA Champions League qualification. Sitting four points back, a loss would further complicate their chances.
