Derrick Rose has let Chicago Bulls' management know he is on board with the team's rumored plan to pursue Carmelo Anthony in summer free agency, according to ProBasketballTalk.com.

The high-scoring New York Knicks forward is set to become a free agent this summer and with the team's locker room in the disarray it now is, it's becoming more and more likely that Anthony will be looking for greener pastures.

That's where the Bulls would like to come in, offering Anthony a chance to team with All-Star center Joakim Noah and a healthy Rose, who in 2011 became the league's youngest MVP in history.

For the second straight season, Rose is out this year with a season-ending knee injury, but is now rumored to be ahead of schedule in his rehab and pointing to a full return by next season.

In the three years Rose has led the Bulls in scoring, his No. 2s were Luol Deng (17.6 points per game), Carlos Boozer (17.5) and Deng (15.3). Anthony is second in the league in scoring this season, trailing only Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant.

BasketballTalk adds Rose and Anthony are thought to be solid compliments to one another, attacking from enough different areas of the court that any team would find the duo hard to defend.
