It's a good thing Chandler Parsons was on the floor with Houston Rockets teammate Dwight Howard when the Rockets play at the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night.

Otherwise, Howard might've heard an earful from Parsons, along with the rest of the jilted Orlando Magic fans.

The Houston Chronicle reported that Parsons "completely understood" why the Magic fans were booing Howard during their game on Wednesday night. Parsons was a fan of the Magic growing up and attended Magic games when Howard played there through the 2011-12 season.

He told the Chronicle that he wore a Dwight Howard Magic jersey when he was younger, which helps him empathize with the Magic's angst against their former star.

"I'd probably boo him," said Parsons, whose family purchased season tickets as soon as they went on sale 25 seasons ago. "That's what makes playing on the road so fun and exciting. You support your home team. Anytime someone leaves a team, you're going to be upset. Obviously, it's a business decision. He did what's best for him. As a fan, you don't care about anything else besides that he left the Magic. If I were in the stands, I would definitely boo, too."

Fansided.com points out that the Magic fans are somewhat justified in their lack of civility toward Howard, who led the team and the fans on for a while during his final season about wanting to stay in Orlando.

Howard even was accused of getting coach Stan Van Gundy fired and then left anyway.

Howard likely will take Parson's comments in stride, after he joined the Los Angeles Lakers crowd during its chants of "Howard sucks!" during a recent game in Los Angeles. Later in an Instagram post, the Rockets themselves engaged in a rousing rendition of "Howard sucks!" on the team plane.
