Darren Sharper rape investigation: Two more sexual assaults come in from New Orleans, Super Bowl champ back in jail? [VIDEO]

Former NFL star Darren Sharper has surrendered to Los Angeles police on a fugitive warrant charging him with two counts of rape in New Orleans.

ABCNews.com reports the 38-year-old Sharper turned himself in just after 7 p.m. Thursday night and now remains held at the Men's Central Jail without bail. In all, Sharper now faces as many as 13 counts of rape in five different states. Prior to his latest arrest, the former Super Bowl champ was free on $1 million bail.

In all of the alleged instances, Sharper is accused of drugging his victims with the sleep-inducing drug Ambien, then having sex with them as they lay defenseless.

In L.A. last week, Sharper pleaded not guilty to felony charges related to the alleged attack on two women he met at a West Hollywood nightclub. Authorities say those assaults took place at his residence in October 2013 and January of this year.

Sharper played 14 NFL seasons with Green Bay, Minnesota and New Orleans, where he won a Super Bowl in 2009-10. He retired after the 2010 season and has since been honored as an All NFL 2000 Decade team selection.

At the time of his initial arrest, Sharper worked as an analyst for the NFL Network, but has since been indefinitely suspended.
