Hakeem Nicks to Roc Nation: Jay Z in 'Empire State of Mind'? 'Magna Carta' rapper inks third New York football star to sports agency [VIDEO]

Score another one for Jay Z and Roc Nation Sports.

New York Giants wideout Hakeem Nicks has now signed on to be represented by the firm recently launched by the hip hop icon and "Empire State of Mind" collaborator.

"I'm proud to become a part of the #RocNationSports family," Nicks tweeted on Thursday.

Nicks becomes the fourth New York-based client to sign with the Manhattan-based firm, joining Victor Cruz, Geno Smith and CC Sabathia. Still in its infancy, the firm has also inked such high-profile clients as Kevin Durant, Robinson Cano, Ndamukong Suh, and WNBA player Skylar Diggins.

A free-agent, Nicks was hampered by lingering injuries much of last season, but has long proven that when healthy he can be one of the league's most dependable receivers.

During the 2010 and 2011 seasons, he caught more than 70 passes for more than 1,000 yards and scored a combined 18 touchdowns, before slumping to just 56 catches for 896 yards and no touchdown last season.

Roc Nation spokesman Ron Berkowitz told ESPN Nicks will be jointly represented by CAA and Roc Nation.

NBA star John Wall is now also rumored to be on Roc Nation's radar.
