Darren Sharper rape case [UPDATE]: Accused 'rapist' not found on club video footage alleged victims claim they were drugged? [VIDEO]

Former NFL star Darren Sharper doesn't appear in any of the surveillance video footage retrieved from an Arizona bar where two of the women now claiming he raped them also allege they first met him.

According to TMZ sports, that discovery could cast grave aspersions on the credibility of the alleged victims, who have told police they were at the club with the 38-year-old Sharper for up to 15 minutes before leaving for his hotel room.

The website also reports multiple staff members from The Mint nightclub have told authorities they never saw Sharper in the club on the night in question. In all, the former New Orleans Saints star has been accused of drugging and raping at least seven women across four different states.

Thus far, formal charges lodged against him include two counts of rape by use of drugs, four counts of furnishing a controlled substance and one count of possession of a controlled substance, all felonies.

Sharper has denied all the allegations and in each instance insists that the sex was consensual. He is now free on $200,000 bail. If convicted of the charges, he faces more than 30 years in prison.
