Floyd Mayweather Gambling: 'Money' Denies 10.4 Million Dollar Bet On Broncos To Win Super Bowl 2014, Would Only Bet Such Large Sum On Himself? [VIDEO]

Floyd Mayweather Jr. was all over the internet with rumors he had plopped a whopping $10.4 million on Peyton Manning and his historically great offense to win Super Bowl XLVII. After a 43-8 whooping, Mayweather has surfaced and is claiming that his abnormally large bet is a false rumor.

"For the record, I did not bet $10 million on the Broncos. As a matter of fact, I didn't bet all," Mayweather said. "I can't control what rumors that are put out there. Good or bad publicity keeps me relevant. The only thing I would bet $10 million on is myself. From the looks of my record, I'm a guaranteed win."

For those wondering then what that photo of Mayweather with a ridiculous amount of cash at a teller window was about, it was a photo from 2012.

As far as guaranteed wins go, some fans and pundits believe his victory wouldn't be so assured if he stepped in the ring with Manny Pacquiao. However Mayweather's issues with Pacquiao's promoter, Bob Arum the CEO of Top Rank, have pushed the two sides into a standoff barring the completion of any negotiations. Mayweather steadfastly refuses to work with Arum, while Pacquiao is not going to ditch his promoter as dictated by an opponent.

Pacquiao has agreed to face Timothy Bradley, who upset him in 2012, on April 12th while Floyd is expected to announce British pugilist Amir Khan as his next opponent for a May 3rd fight. Khan is a suspect choice in the eyes of most who follow boxing, as it will be his first career fight above 140 lbs., and he's shown a suspect chin in the lighter weight.

In the past Khan has been knocked out by Breidis Prescott and Danny Garcia, the latter of which most believe is more deserving of a shot at Mayweather. Khan is coming off back-to-back wins but hasn't fought since April 2013 and was knocked down in that fight, a win over Julio Diaz.
