CM Punk To UFC? [VIDEO] Dana White: 'We'll See What Happens,' Brock Lesnar Wants To Fight Again?

CM Punk quit the WWE abruptly on Monday night before an episode of RAW was set to air, and with the reports of it not being a work mixed with Punk's martial arts background and interest in the fighting game, it is possible that he may be interested in joining the UFC somewhere down the road.

UFC President Dana White, apparently unaware that Punk had quit the WWE, discussed the possibility of Punk joining the UFC, and while it's noted that Punk has some training in that type of fighting, White said he's never discussed the possibility of Punk jumping ship.

"He quit [the WWE]? Really? No, he hasn't said a word to me [about fighting in the UFC]," White told BJPenn.com. "He hasn't reached out to me. I was with him all night in Chicago, he never said a word about it. He just showed up. We talked about a lot of things, fighting was not one of them. I like him, he's a great guy. It's a little late to get into the game, but who knows if he can fight? I don't know. We'll see what happens, but I like him a lot. He's a nice guy."

Punk was supposed to feud with Kane up until the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view on Feb. 23 in Minneapolis and then feud with Triple H leading into a match at WrestleMania XXX in New Orleans on April 6, but now that he's quit the WWE ahead of his contract expiring in July he may very well be done with the wrestling world for good.

It remains to be seen if Punk, who quit due to frustrations about losing out on main eventing WrestleMania to "part-timers" such as Batista and The Rock, will join the UFC. If Punk does join, he wouldn't be the first one to jump from the wrestling ring to the cage. Brock Lesnar left the WWE back in 2003 and eventually he turned up in the UFC where he had a successful career.

White recently discussed the possibility of Lesnar re-joining the UFC and he said that he believes Lesnar wants to fight again. White told TMZ that he believes Lesnar wants to fight again in the UFC and to do it while he's under contract with the WWE.

"I think he wants to do both. When his schedule opens up I think he'd like to fight," White told TMZ.

Lesnar is not currently scheduled to work any WWE events until the Feb. 24 episode of Monday Night RAW that airs the night after the Elimination Chamber event and the night that the WWE Network launches, Wrestlingheadlines.com reports. Lesnar will then appear at every RAW leading up to WrestleMania XXX except for March 10 in Memphis and March 17 in San Antonio.

It remains to be seen if Punk or Lesnar will be in the UFC anytime soon.
