John Wall Bothered Team USA Snub: Plans To Use Omission as Motivation For Wizards Playoff Push? [VIDEO]

Washington Wizards star guard John Wall is using his USA Basketball roster snub as added motivation for the rest of the season, according to ProBasketballTalk.com.

NBA point guards Chris Paul, Deron Williams , Russell Westbrook, Derrick Rose, Stephen Curry and Kyrie Irving were all among the pool of players receiving invitations to compete for spots on the team set to play in the World Championships this summer, but Wall inexplicably was not on the list.

BasketBallTalk.com reports its likely Wall will be named as a reserve on the Eastern Conferecne All-Star team this week, but still the sting of not being considered by Team USA team after taking part in a recent minicamp with the squad has left him feeling slighted.

"I been through it before," Wall told the BasketballTalk of his minicamp experience. "The main thing for me is try to be professional. I went out there and played. I did it the right way. I just use it as more motivation. It's nothing I could do. It's nothing I can say."

Wall is having a breakout season for the Wizards this year, averaging a career-high 20.2 points per game, to go along with two steals and 32.5 percent shooting from from three point range.
