Johnny Manziel Draft Status: Johnny Football's Future in the Hands of the Cleveland Browns? [VIDEO]

Time will tell whether the Cleveland Browns have a great or horrible poker face.

CBSSports.com's Jason La Canfora reported Sunday that the Browns are willing to trade up for 2012 Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel. The organization, which as the No. 4 pick in the draft, had sources tell La Canfora it would do as much to get Manziel.

The declaration seems a bit odd, considering that the team still does not have a head coach. ProFootballTalk.NBCSports.com's Mike Florio said Cleveland's stance could scare away potential candidates, who would not have a say in the draft selection.

Manziel, Louisville's Teddy Bridgewater, Central Florida's Blake Bortles and Fresno State's Derek Carr are considered the top quarterback prospects in the 2014 NFL Draft, according to the Houston Chronicle.

The Houston Texans own the top draft pick. NFL Trade Rumors reported that the St. Louis Rams have declared publicly that they are willing to listen to offers for the No. 2 pick.

CBSSports.com reported that the Browns' top two candidates for the head coaching position are Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase and Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn.

The Browns used three quarterbacks in 2013. They started the season with Brandon Weeden as the starter, but Brian Hoyer took over for three games until suffering a season-ending torn anterior cruciate ligament. Jason Campbell also started some games for the Browns.

Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon emerged as a weapon for the team in 2013, but the Browns have a lot of holes on a team that went 4-12 in 2013, and trading away more draft picks could delay the team's rebuilding prospects, no matter who Cleveland selects in the draft.

Manziel's fate in Cleveland, however, still could rest with the Browns' coaching hire. The new coach may not have control of the draft pick but he does have control over what kind of offense the team runs, and that could have a bearing on whether Manziel would be a fit with the team.
