Royal Rumble 2014 Rumors [VIDEO]: New Age Outlaws To Face Rhodes Brothers For Tag Titles?

The WWE presents its Royal Rumble pay-per-view on Jan. 26 live from the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh and while there have been matches already added to the card, it isn't complete and the latest rumors involving the card suggest that the New Age Outlaws will face Cody Rhodes and Goldust for the WWE Tag Team Championships at the event.

Billy Gunn and the Road Dogg recently started re-appearing on WWE television and were a part of the old school episode of Monday Night RAW a couple of weeks ago and started wrestling on RAW and SmackDown regularly, leading to them turning their backs on CM Punk on last week's episode of RAW. Now it appears as though the Outlaws are going to go after the tag titles at the Royal Rumble.

Wrestlingheadlines.com reports that the tag title match is expected to be added to the Royal Rumble card, possibly this week on Monday Night RAW. The Outlaws notched a non-title victory over the Rhodes brothers on the SmackDown tapings this past Tuesday that are set to air Friday night and will now likely have a match with the titles on the line.

According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, the Outlaws will be on WWE television through the next month and possibly through WrestleMania XXX on April 6. They may even stay beyond that event.

The New Age Outlaws were one of the most popular tag teams in the WWE during the Attitude era that started in the late 1990's, and they have boasted five Tag Team Championships over their time in WWE.

If the tag title match is eventually confirmed, it joins the 30-man over-the-top-rope Royal Rumble match with the winner going to the main event of WrestleMania XXX, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between Randy Orton and John Cena and the Brock Lesnar vs. The Big Show grudge match as the matches that are announced so far for the card.

The WWE's first pay-per-view of the year kicks off when the Royal Rumble hits the airwaves on Jan. 26 live from the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh.
