Ultimate Warrior WWE Hall Of Fame 2014 [VIDEO]: Warrior To Be Inducted Before WrestleMania 30, Vince McMahon: 'Thrilled To Induct Him'

The WWE revealed their first inductee into the 2014 Hall of Fame class on Monday night and it was announced that The Ultimate Warrior will be inducted into the company's Hall of Fame on WrestleMania XXX weekend in New Orleans.

The WWE sent out a press release regarding the Warrior's induction into the Hall of Fame in which company CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon--who has had a rocky history with the WWE superstar--touted how proud the company was to be inducting one of their most popular and wild superstars into the Hall of Fame.

"The Ultimate Warrior was the most intense, colorful, competitive and outspoken Superstar in sports entertainment history, and his contributions to WWE were extraordinary," McMahon said in the press release, according to Wrestlingheadlines.com. "We are thrilled to induct The Ultimate Warrior into the WWE Hall of Fame."

The Warrior, who was really named James Hellwig but legally changed his name to Warrior following legal battles with the WWE, has a tumultuous history with the company that led to him not being inducted until now. The Warrior was fired on three separate occasions by the WWE including Warrior no-showing events and demanding that McMahon pay him more money while threatening to no-show a SummerSlam main event in 1991. He was also released for speculation about steroid use in 1992.

Warrior had claimed in the past that he no-showed events in 1996 to attend his father's funeral--to which McMahon said he didn't have a close relationship with his dad, and Warrior also said he demanded more money at the SummerSlam event due to McMahon still owing him payments for 1991's WrestleMania VII pay-per-view.

The Warrior was last seen in the WWE in 1996 when he was fired one last time and the relationship with McMahon was damaged until recently when he agreed to be involved in the WWE 2K14 video game.

The WWE's Hall of Fame ceremony will take place at the New Orleans Arena on April 5 on the night before WrestleMania XXX.

Warrior, 54, was one of the most popular superstars in the late 1980's and early 1990's, and a two-time Intercontinental Champion and one-time WWE Champion after winning a title-for-title match against Hulk Hogan in the main event of WrestleMania VI in 1990 in one of the most memorable main events in the show's history.

Now, after years of turmoil, The Ultimate Warrior is a Hall of Famer.
