Today at 4:40 p.m. ET, the San Francisco 49ers (12-4) and Green Bay Packers (8-7-1) go head-to-head in NFC Wild-Card playoff action live from Lambeau Field in Green Bay. The game can be live streamed here. San Francisco fans can hear all of the action on KNBR 1050 while Green Bay fans can do the same on WTMJ 620.
Colin Kaepernick and the defending NFC champion 49ers look to once again go far in the postseason while the Packers enter confident with a healthy Aaron Rodgers, who returned from a collarbone injury to lead his team to the NFC North crown.
Rodgers went 193-for-290 (66.6%) for 2,536 yards with 17 touchdowns and six interceptions through nine games for Green Bay this season while Kaepernick went 243 of 416 (58.4%) for 3,197 yards with 21 scores and eight picks through 16 games for San Francisco.
Rodgers felt good upon his return from the injury.
"My arm felt good. Mentally, I felt good," Rodgers said on his weekly radio show, according to ESPN. "I prepared hard all week, but there's always going to be some sort of re-indoctrination period, if you will. It was kind of like the preseason for me."
The Packers went 0-4-1 without Rodgers, but won three out of their last four to clinch their third straight NFC North crown.
While the team is healthy with Rodgers, the team will be without Clay Matthews due to a broken thumb.
The 49ers defeated the Packers 34-28 in September in a game that saw Anquan Boldin catch 13 passes for 208 yards and a touchdown, but the receiver knows this will be a different Packers team.
"Green Bay is a completely different team than the team we saw in Week 1, as we are," Boldin said via ESPN. "For us, we would like to carry that momentum. We are in a six-game winning streak."
Boldin had 85 receptions for 1,179 yards with seven touchdowns this season.
Both teams will look to get both of their star running backs going as Frank Gore had 276 rushing attempts for 1,128 yards with nine touchdowns and rookie Eddie Lacy rushed 284 times for 1,178 yards while reaching the end zone 11 times.
The 49ers and Packers take the field against each other in the NFC Wild-Card game this afternoon.
