WWE Royal Rumble 2014 Rumors [VIDEO]: Luke Harper and Erick Rowan To Win Tag Titles? More Backstage Rumble News

With the 2014 WWE Royal Rumble rapidly approaching on Jan. 26 at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, the rumors have flown around over who will win the 30-man over-the-top-rope Royal Rumble match, and speculation is that there might be a Tag Team Championship change at the show as well.

According to Examiner.com, the WWE has big plans to push The Wyatt Family heading into the New Year with an expected Tag Title push coming to the team of Luke Harper and Erick Rowan.

The report indicates that their feud with Daniel Bryan at TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs was used as a way to showcase not only Bray Wyatt, but to also springboard Rowan and Harper to the Tag Team Championships with a win over Cody Rhodes and Goldust in January.

The report indicates that Harper and Rowan may win the titles prior to January's event, but it is also conceivable that the Wyatt Family could take the straps from Goldust and Rhodes at the Royal Rumble as a way to build up the team for a tag match at WrestleMania XXX against another team in the WWE's newly built up deep tag division.

It could also springboard a possible rift between Goldust and Rhodes that could lead to the two brothers clashing at WrestleMania XXX--a match that Goldust has been lobbying to have with his brother for years.

Regarding the main event over-the-top-rope 30-man Royal Rumble match, there were rumors of the returning Dave "The Animal" Batista winning the match and facing WWE World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton at WrestleMania XXX in the main event in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on April 6 in New Orleans.

Batista is slated to return to WWE on the Jan. 20 edition of Monday Night RAW that will emanate just six days before the Royal Rumble pay-per-view, and Batista is expected to be involved heavily in the hype for WrestleMania by making television appearances, live event appearances and having pay-per-view matches.

It's unknown if the WWE will pull the trigger on a Batista victory and subsequent Batista vs. Orton match at their biggest show of the year, but Wrestlingheadlines.com reported this week that it has been discussed.

It remains to be seen what will happen Jan. 26 when the road to WrestleMania XXX kicks off at the 2014 Royal Rumble.
