Cameron Brink injury recovery
Brink's social media post was a welcome sight for her fans.
She had a promising rookie season, averaging 7.5 points per game and 5.3 rebounds a night.
All this came to an end on June 18 when she slipped during a non-contact play in the first quarter of the game against the Connecticut Sun.
She was diagnosed with an ACL injury and was shut down for the whole season.
"You never think it will happen to you," Brink wrote on Instagram after learning about the extent of her injury.
"And despite all the hard work sometimes it does. This is hard to fathom but I know it will only make me stronger. I will not be derailed and I will continue to love this life- I'm not defined by basketball, but it is something that I love deeply and I will work everyday to get back to it."
