Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James showed off his basketball intellect by explaining how the Boston Celtics surgically dismantled their opponents.
In their latest episode, the four-time NBA champion shared his thoughts on his own "Mind the Game" podcast with co-host and former NBA player JJ Redick.
"They do it with the pass that a lot of people don't really give them credit for. I think their dribble penetration, and once they see the defense start to rotate, they do it with the pass," the 39-year-old initially said.
James added that the Celtics' two stars, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, are their only iso players, while the rest of the squad moves off the ball to find their spots.
"They don't get enough credit for their ball movement, when they're driving a baseline or driving the 45, the slot and getting the defense rotating. That's their superpower," the 20-time NBA All-Star added.
LeBron James gives thoughts on Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla
The four-time NBA champion praised the man responsible for the Celtics' tactics, head coach Joe Mazzulla.
The two hosts discussed a situation during the Celtics' Game 1 in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Indiana Pacers, debating whether to foul in a particular late-game scenario.
"This Joe Mazzulla guy is a f***ing genius, bro. The more and more I talk to you the more and more I like this Joe guy," James said.
