Dallas Mavericks star Luka DonÄiÄ has refuted a claim made by former NBA player Chandler Parsons about his relationship with former Mavs teammate and current Boston Celtics big man Kristaps PorziÅÄ£is as they prepare to face each other in the 2024 NBA Finals.
Parsons, who played for the Mavericks from 2014 to 2016 but did not overlap with Doncic or Porzingis during his time there, claimed the Slovenian guard did not enjoy playing with the Latvian center.
"That's why I don't watch a lot of that. Because people don't know. I've talked to Chandler Parsons maybe twice in my life, so I don't know how he would know that. But me and KP have a good relationship. I don't know why people say otherwise," the five-time All-NBA First Team member told the media on Tuesday, June 5.
Parsons made his claim on FanDuel's "Run It Back" show.
"They do not like [Kristaps] Porzingis in Dallas. Luka [Doncic] did not like playing with him, there is an actual beef there. Everytime he touches the ball he's getting booed," the 35-year-old said.

Porzingis also discussed his relationship with Doncic and his tenure with the Mavericks from 2019 to 2022.
"It didn't work out... I don't know, I'm not even thinking about that right now. I'm focused on the job ahead. We can talk about that later," the 28-year-old said to reporters.
Game 1 of the 2024 NBA Finals is scheduled this Thursday, June 6, at the TD Garden in Boston.
