Ray Allen To Wear Jesus Shuttlesworth Jersey In Upcoming Miami Heat Game [VIDEO]

Miami Heat sharpshooter Ray Allen is set to don his Spike Lee He Got Game Jesus Shuttlesworth jersey in a formal upcoming NBA game, according to ESPN.

Lee recently posted a photo of of the jersey on his Instagram account and indicated Allen plans to wear it when the Heat face the Boston Celtics on Jan. 21. Allen made the name famous starring in Lee's 1998 basketball cult classic as Denzel Washington's wayward son.

"Ray Allen will wear "J. Shuttlesworth" on back of his jersey for a few games this season," Lee wrote on his Instagram page. ESPN has also previously reported the Heat and the Brooklyn Nets are both approved to wear jerseys displaying player's nicknames when they meet on March 12 and April 8.

The league and the players have been a little secretive about what nicknames have been approved for use, though most overwhelmingly expect LeBron James to have "King James" on the back of his jersey and Jason Terry will have "Jet."

The jury remains as to what other star player such as Dwyane Wade, Chris, Deron Williams, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett might chose to wear.
