The Chicago Bulls have been actively seeking to trade star Zach LaVine since the past year, but their efforts have been in vain.
Initially holding out for a high asking price, the team has now adjusted its expectations for what it wants in return for the two-time NBA All-Star.
Although they wouldn't settle for a subpar offer for LaVine, the team is now more open to exploring various possibilities, as K.C. Johnson of NBC Sports reported.
LaVine inked a five-year supermax contract extension in 2022, which would see him earning $43.03 million in 2024-25.

With interest in the 29-year-old not materializing as expected due to his exorbitant contract, there is a possibility that Chicago might consider simply executing a salary dump deal, according to Evan Sidery of ESPN.
Bulls' former asking price for Zach LaVine
LaVine has been on the market as early as before the 2023-24 season, and initially, the Bulls were asking for a lot.
They aimed to acquire an excellent young player, multiple first-round picks, and salary filler or, alternatively, one first-round pick and an established, high-end player.
However, after an injury-filled campaign, LaVine's trade value dropped during the 2023-24 season. He only played 25 games and was ruled out for the rest of the season in February 2024 after undergoing surgery on his right foot.
