2024 NBA Draft prospect Bronny James, who shares the same name as his legendary father and Los Angeles Lakers star, LeBron James, has faced significant expectations due to his name alone.
The 19-year-old recently sat down for an interview with Bleacher Report during the 2024 NBA Draft Combine, during which one of the questions asked was whether he plans to pass his name on to his future child.
"Absolutely not," the former USC Trojan guard said while laughing.
Born as LeBron Raymone James Jr., the 6-foot-1 guard was also asked which NBA player he would challenge in a one-on-one game, and he chose his father.
Bronny mentioned that he has not been able to play a one-on-one pickup game against the Lakers forward in a while and is unsure who would win a hypothetical game between them.
Bronny predicts a blowout score on another James family member
In a different interview on the same day by House of Highlights, the 2024 NBA Draft prospect predicted a potential scoreline.
In a game up to 11, Bronny initially said his dad might beat him 11-6 before shortly changing his mind to 11-7.
Bronny certainly had confidence regarding his younger brother Bryce, asserting he would comfortably beat him 11-5.
