Bronny James's performance in the ongoing 2024 NBA Draft Combine has significantly improved his chances of making the NBA.

NBA Draft analyst Jonathan Givony of ESPN shared on NBA Today that the firstborn son of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James will leap draft projections.

"This was a positive week in Chicago for Bronny James. He's moved into the late second round of our latest projections. We're gonna have him at 54 in our next update. That's all the way up from the back end of the top 100," the draft expert stated.

NBA scouts liked what the former USC Trojan brought to the table in terms of his intangibles.

"Talking to NBA people out here, they feel like he's legitimized himself as a real NBA prospect," Givony added.

Bronny James' performance in the NBA Draft Combine has done wonders for his draft stock

Givony added that scouts were impressed with James' mentality after a subpar performance in his first scrimmage.

The 19-year-old bounced back in his second scrimmage by scoring a team-high 13 points on 4-of-10 shooting in 23 minutes.

"Yesterday [he] played a great role helping his team to a win, playing good defense, making shots, just showing his feel for the game, his versatility. People love his attitude, his enthusiasm and the way that he understands the type of player that he is," Givony stated.
