After making it to the postseason last season, the Atlanta Dream looks to be back in the mix after some massive moves in free agency and in the WNBA Draft.

Last year, the Dream had their first ever playoff berth, going 19-21, and despite getting swept against the Dallas Wings in the first round, the retooled Atlanta team have a lot of reasons to be optimistic about their direction going into this season.

Offseason

The Atlanta Dream traded for the dynamic two-guard Jordin Canada, whom the franchise hopes will be a great addition to its roster.

Along with Canada, they re-signed Nia Coffey and went out to bring in the legendary Tina Charles.

They managed to draft Nyadiew Puoch with the 12th overall pick, Isobel Borlase at 20, and Matilde Villa with the 32nd pick.

The Dream have one of the more talented rosters in the Eastern Conference and should be primed to take a massive step forward.

Atlanta boasts a talented roster featuring Rhyne Howard, Allisha Gray, and Cheyenne Parker; who were all staples on this team last season

Howard was the fifth pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft and should have another monster season for Atlanta after leading the Dream in scoring in 2023.

Gray, who was bought in last season from the Dallas Wings is also coming off one of her best seasons as a pro and should be a difference-maker for this Dream team.

The addition of Tina Charles who, despite being older at 35 is a proven veteran, a former MVP, and an eight-time All-Star, should be a major contributor coming off the bench for the Atlanta Dream.
