Minnesota Timberwolves guard Mike Conley, like many observers, has also been impressed by the rise of his teammate Anthony Edwards as one of the league's top players.
The veteran point guard shared his thoughts on "Inside the NBA" on TNT, discussing Edwards' mindset and approach to the game.
"A young Michael Jordan... He's unbelievable. I think more than anything with him has been his mentality. I've never been a teammate with a guy who believes more in himself than Anthony Edwards. I think he thinks he's the best player ever to play the game, to walk on earth," the 36-year-old said on the show.
Since joining the team in 2023, Conley has been a mentor and role model to the electrifying shooting guard, and Edwards credits him with their recent success.
"I tell him all the time, hey, I'm glad you came here. We'll win us a championship before you get out of here. It's a good thing he came here," Edwards said in January 2024.

Conley further solidified his reputation as one of the best NBA teammates by winning the 2023-24 Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year award.
This marks his second time receiving the honor, with his first win coming in 2018-19 while still with the Memphis Grizzlies.
Additionally, he holds the record for the most NBA Sportsmanship Awards, having won it four times in 2014, 2016, 2019, and 2023.
