The Denver Nuggets have recently completely controlled the Los Angeles Lakers.
After sweeping them in last season's Western Conference Finals, Denver has elevated its game even further this season.
During the ongoing 2023-24 campaign, the Nuggets have utterly dominated the Lakers, a fact supported by a statistic reported by ESPN's Dave McMenamin.
The reigning NBA champions swept their regular season series against the Los Angeles Lakers, with all three wins occurring on significant dates.
Denver's first victory came during the Opening Night of the 2023-24 season in October 2023.
Their second win coincided with the night when late Lakers legend Kobe Bryant's statue was unveiled outside their home at the Crypto.com Arena on February 8, 2024.
This date was significant as it aligned with Gianna Bryant's and Kobe's two jersey numbers, forming 2-8-24.
Lastly, the Nuggets secured another win over the Lakers on the evening when LeBron James became the first player in NBA history to score 40,000 regular season career points in March 2024.
