No parent should bury his own child.

UFC star Francis Ngannou let out his emotions on social media as he revealed the untimely death of his 15-month-old son Kobe.

The former UFC Heavyweight champion is not one to talk about his personal life in public, especially matters about his children.

Over at X, formerly Twitter, he provided details of how his young son suddenly passed away.

"My little boy, my mate, my partner Kobe was full of life and joy. Now, he's laying without life. I shouted his name over and over but he's not responding," he said in a message he posted on Tuesday.

"How do you deal with such a thing? How can you live with it?

"Please help me if you have any idea because I really don't know what to do and how to deal with this."

He also shared that he is his best self whenever he is with his kid and bemoaned that life can sometimes be unfair.

Before that, he asked how to deal with a heavy tragedy.

His tough guy persona is nowhere, and he shows vulnerability in this trying time.

"What's the purpose of life if what we're fighting tooth and nail to get away from is what finally hit us the hardest!?

"Why is life so unfair and merciless? Why does life always take what we don't have? I'm f***ing tired."

Kobe's death remains unknown. The mother of the kid is also not identified.

People close to the fighter demand respect and privacy and give Ngannou time to deal with the tragedy.

MMA fighters and personalities show support for Ngannou

Former opponents and friends from MMA and other personalities also showed their support for the 37-year-old fighter.

UFC lightweight star Conor McGregor replied in his X post, saying he is praying for him.

"I am so sorry to hear of your loss Francis, my prayers are with you and your family at this time," wrote former UFC world champion Conor McGregor.

Anthony Joshua, whom he fought and lost to last month, also showed his support.

"May the memories you shared bring you comfort," he wrote.

Middleweight fighter Marvin Vettori from Italy expressed his sympathy to Ngannoou.

Former Bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo tried to answer the Cameroonian's questions and wished he would meet his son again someday.

Francis Ngannou's personal life

Ngannou seldom talks about his personal life, although he has been linked to some women before.

The most prominent was former UFC champion Miesha Tate, whom he met in 2022.

Rumors of them being together became stronger in 2023 when Tate posted a picture of them with her kids and her previous partner.

Ngannou's career took off in 2015 when he joined the UFC and scored a knockout on Luis Enrique at the UFC on Fox: dos Anjos vs. Cowboy 2.

He fought 14 times in the UFC promotions and lost just twice.

He then moved on to boxing and fought and lost to professional boxers Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.
