AEW founder and CEO Tony Khan had to attend to his duties as an executive for the Jacksonville Jaguars despite the consequences of an incident in the wrestling ring.

The 41-year-old was seen wearing a neck brace at the Jaguars' draft room during the 2024 NFL Draft, just as the team was about to make their selection with the 23rd overall pick on Thursday, April 25.

"Tony Khan becomes the first ever NFL executive in a draft room, shaking off the effects of a piledriver he received on national television in a wrestling ring the night before," media personality Rich Eisen of the NFL Network said during the broadcast.

Khan got into wrestling physical action for the first time on Wednesday's episode of AEW Dynamite on April 24, when he was attacked by Jack Perry, The Young Bucks, and Kazuchika Okada (The Elite).

The billionaire endured a punch to the gut and a "Meltzerdriver" piledriver from The Young Bucks at the Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida.

The 73-year-old businessman was also at the Jaguars' draft room alongside his son when the team selected wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. from LSU Tigers with the 23rd overall pick a day later.

Tony Khan's official role with the Jaguars is Senior Vice President of Football and Analytics.
