WWE superstar Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson returned to social media to address questions about the recently concluded WrestleMania 40, which was held from April 6 to 7 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Rock headlined Night 1 of the event in a tag team match, teaming up with then-reigning Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns to face off against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.

The movie star praised Rollins as the "MVP" of the record-breaking festivities.

"And also congratulations to who I feel is the MVP of the entire WrestleMania weekend. Seth Rollins. Seth "Freakin" Rollins. What an honor it was to share the ring with you three, what an honor it was to break records," the 51-year-old said in an Instagram video posted last Sunday, April 14.

Rollins received acclaim ahead of Rhodes and Reigns, who headlined Night 2 and delivered one of the most anticipated matches in pro wrestling history.

The Rock also hinted at participating in WrestleMania 41 next year.

"Now my sights are set on the next WrestleMania," the Hollywood star stated.

Seth Rollins extensively participated in WrestleMania 40

Rollins was highly involved in WrestleMania 40, appearing in both evenings and seeing action despite suffering from a torn MCL and partially torn meniscus since mid-January.

He continued to appear in WWE programming despite the knee injuries, but he will now reportedly take time off to heal.

In addition to featuring in the main event of Night 1, the 37-year-old also kicked off Night 2, where he lost his World Heavyweight Championship to Drew McIntyre.

Rollins later reappeared in the Night 2 main event between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns, intervening in the match and enduring a chair shot from Reigns.
