Chiefs WR Rashee Rice Meets With Dallas Police and Apologizes, Could Face Harsh NFL Punishment

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has already met with Dallas authorities following his involvement in a six-vehicle crash last Saturday, March 30.

The 24-year-old reportedly left the scene without checking on others involved in the incident, which was allegedly connected to reckless racing.

"Today I met with Dallas PD investigators regarding Saturday's accident. I take full responsibility for my part in this matter and will continue to cooperate with the necessary authorities. I sincerely apologize to everyone impacted in Saturday's accident," the wide receiver posted on his Instagram story on Wednesday, April 3.

The two vehicles spotted racing were a Chevrolet Corvette and a Lamborghini, though it remains unclear which vehicle Rice was associated with.

Rice's exact involvement in the incident, including whether he was driving one of the vehicles, is also unknown.

Several people were injured due to the incident, and some are planning legal action against the Super Bowl champion.

The NFL could still punish Rashee Rice

Aside from potential legal repercussions, Rice could also face penalties from the NFL or the Chiefs.

The league might sanction discipline under the Personal Conduct Policy, which could result in a suspension, according to league insider Mike Florio of NBC Sports.

However, he added that imposing this might be challenging since it occurred during the offseason and the incident is unrelated to football.
