LSU Tigers Star Angel Reese Gets Teary-Eyed in Post-Game Presser After Narrating Experience

The reigning national champions, LSU Tigers, won't have the opportunity to defend their title after losing to the Iowa Hawkeyes in their highly anticipated matchup, 94-87, in the Elite Eight of this year's NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament on Monday, April 1, at the MVP Arena in Albany, New York.

LSU star Angel Reese, widely regarded as one of the best women's college basketball players today, opened up about the challenges she has been facing since winning the national title nearly a year ago.

"I just try to stay strong... I've been attacked so many times. Death threats, I've been sexualized, I've been threatened... I'm still human. All this has happened since I won the national championship & I haven't been happy since then," the 21-year-old said at the post-game conference.

Reese started the game on fire, shooting 6-of-8 from the field, and appeared to pose a significant challenge for the Hawkeyes.

However, she suffered an ankle sprain eight minutes into the second quarter while contesting Iowa star Caitlin Clark's shot.
