Where Will Chase Young Land after His Stint in San Francisco

After helping the San Francisco 49ers make the Super Bowl, the star No.2 overall pick defensive end Chase Young is set to hit the NFL Free Agency market.

Last season Young was traded to the 49ers after a stint with the Washington Commanders, where despite seeing some success in winning Defensive Rookie of the Year and helping the team make the playoffs in 2020; he struggled to stay on the field in dealing with a significant knee injury.

Chase Young's time with the 49ers was very up and down. Although he had moments of brilliance, he wasn't as productive as he was during his rookie and second season in the NFL.

Still, Young did help the Niners make it to the Super Bowl where he recorded a sack.

Despite his injury history and based on his strong showing in the Super Bowl, Young should garner some interest around the league from teams looking to make an addition to their defensive line.

Chase Young Free Agency: Houston Texans

After a successful season finishing 10-7 and making the playoffs, the Texans could look to keep themselves in contention by making a move and signing DE Chase Young.

Adding Young to bolster the team could potentially make him and the No. 3 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Will Andeson Jr, a dominant pass rush pair.

If healthy, Chase Young can take some pressure off Anderson Jr. next season. Young could easily have a bounce-back season with the Texans, proving why he is a player worthy of the second-overall pick.

Chase Young Free Agency: Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens could make a big splash this offseason by adding Chase Young. The Ravens had the number one ranked defense in the NFL last season, thanks to their stout linebacking core.

It's possible the team may lose a key name on their defensive line. Jadevoen Clowney played a big role in 2023 for the Ravens, but could be on the way out of Baltimore.

The Ravens d-line squad last season accounted for 31.5 of the sacks alone.

Madubuike is coming off an All-Pro season as Clowney and Van Noy have shown to still be extremely productive.

Young could be a low-risk, high-reward sign for the Ravens; as he is only 24 years old and has shown that he can play at a high level.

Chase Young Free Agency: San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers could bring Chase Young back for another year to prove that this kind of loan deal can bring future long term deals with the investing team.

Young's time with the 49ers was rocky despite some early performances in which he came in and made an immediate impact for the Niners D.

His play on the field during most of his time with the 49ers shouldn't command top money, but Chase Young has proved that he can be a key contributor if re-signed by the 49ers.
