The NBA All-Star 2024 is doing this year's 3-Point Shootout differently. They are making it legendary.

The league decided to get the services of WNBA's Sabrina Ionescu to add more spice to the 3-Point Shootout competition.

She will go one-on-one against none other than the greatest shooter of all time, Stephen Curry.

Ionescu, who plays for the New York Liberty won last year's 3-point contest during the WNBA All-Star.

She dominated the competition prompting a reaction from the Golden State Warriors star who called her performance "ridiculous."

She scored 37 points in the event, the highest in both NBA and WNBA.

Ionescu jokingly challenged the All-Time 3-Point record holder, and on January 25, Curry reopened the challenge by saying that he wanted to battle with Sabrina from beyond the arc.

Curry said the one-on-one game between him and the 26-year-old female basketball icon is going to uncharted territory and that it will serve a bigger purpose.

"There's going to be a young kid who hasn't maybe watched many WNBA games but is going to watch this, and they're going to have that dream of one day maybe shooting against their idol," he told ESPN.

"We're a small piece of changing the narrative. This isn't really scripted. This isn't something we're doing to try to check something off the box. We're really excited for the opportunity. It's really organic."

The two players will play for their chosen charity-Curry for Eat.Learn.Play. nonprofit, and Ionescu for SI20 Foundation. Both will receive a donation from the NBA and WNBA.

Aside from the donations by the league, the State Farm will donate to the NBA Foundation based on the converted shots' value. Every converted regular 3-pointer will earn $1000, money ball for $2000, and Starr y Range Ball from 29 feet will be $3000.

NBA players make their pick

To choose between these two snipers is hard, even NBA players are having a hard time choosing.

So far, only Draymond Green has come out to throw his support for Curry.

Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson, the other half of the Splash Brothers, put their money on Ionescu because of her performance from last year.

"No disrespect to you, Steph. I love you, big bro. But, at the same time, [Sabrina] got the record, man."

"I got the Bay Area's finest... Sabrina all day!" Thompson said. "She set a record last year. I think she missed one [3-point shot]." Kevin Durant got Sabrina, too. "I said Steph first, then Steph kinda, like, disrespected me and called me an instigator, so I went Sabrina. But I'm going back to Steph. You know how I like to switch."
