Tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET, the Montreal Canadiens (19-10-3, 41 points) and Philadelphia Flyers (13-15-3, 29 points) go head-to-head live from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia in the second of three meetings against each other this season. The game can be live streamed here. Montreal fans can hear all of the action by adjusting their radios to TSN 690 while Philadelphia fans can do the same on 97.5 The Fanatic.
Montreal had a 10-game point streak snapped on Tuesday while Philadelphia is coming off of losing four of their last five. The last time these two teams played, the Canadiens defeated the Flyers 4-1 in Montreal on Oct. 5.
Canadiens forward Daniel Briere plays in Philadelphia for the first time since he was bought out over the summer after spending the last six seasons with the Flyers.
"I'm expecting both the best and the worst from the fans," Briere told the Canadiens website Wednesday. "I've been treated in different ways by the crowd during my career, so I'm ready for pretty much anything. I'll have a chance to play in front of my kids and a few good friends, so it'll be easy to find the motivation to do well."
Montreal snapped a 9-0-1 streak Tuesday in a 6-0 loss to the Los Angeles Kings.
The Flyers lost four of six games on their recent road trip including a 7-2 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Wednesday.
"We get home, and we've got Montreal at home waiting," coach Craig Berube said per NHL.com. "We have to be ready to go. I mean, we have to play 60 minutes. Can't take shifts off, or make mistakes, critical mistakes; it's going to cost you."
The Flyers have been paced by captain Claude Giroux, who has 21 points off of five goals and 16 assists while Brayden Schenn (seven goals, 10 assists) and Steve Downie (three goals, 14 assists) each have 17 points.
P.K. Subban paces the Canadiens with 24 points off of four goals and 20 assists while Tomas Plekanec has found the back of the net 11 times and added 11 helpers for 22 points and Alex Galchenyuk has lit the lamp eight times and added 12 assists for 20 points.
The projected starter for the Canadiens is Carey Price, who is 14-9-2 with a 2.08 goals-against average and a .934 save percentage while Steve Mason will likely start for the Flyers and is 10-9-3 with a 2.35 GAA and a .926 save percentage.
The Canadiens look to begin a new point streak while the Flyers will hope that home ice will treat them better after a tough road trip when the teams hit the ice tonight at the Wells Fargo Center.
