The Miami Dolphins face the New York Jets in Week 15, although they may opt to sit out one key player. Is Tyreek Hill playing vs. the Jets in Week 15?  The two teams kickoff on December 17 at 1:00 pm Eastern Time.

Hill is dealing with an ankle injury he suffered in the first quarter of the Dolphins' 28-27 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Monday, December 11, ESPN reported.

However, oddly inspired by a text conversation with his wife, the 29-year-old wide receiver returned to the game in the third quarter.

"I texted my wife, I was like, 'This s--- hurt.' I need an ankle massage tonight, and she's like, 'You'd better get your ass back in that game, dawg.' I was like, 'All right,'" the seven-time Pro Bowler shared.

Dolphins preserving Hill for more games

Although Hill is tough enough to play, the Dolphins may take a cautious route. Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel hinted at that possibly happening, a move to protect the four-time First-team All-Pro in the NFL playoffs.

"He's such an important part of our team that we're going to make sure that when he's on the field, he's not at risk of further injury to himself," McDaniel said via Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald.

Hill was a no-show at Dolphins practice on Thursday, December 14. Aside from him, also missing practice was running back De'Von Achane, NBC Sports reported.

If Hill sits out, it will be interesting if the Dolphins can stay the course. Miami is an 8.5-point spread favorite to prevail over the Jets. The Moneyline for this Week 15 clash is -400 for the Dolphins and +310 for the Jets per BegMGM NFL Odds via USA Today.
