The San Francisco 49ers visit the reeling Seattle Seahawks in Week 12 action on Thursday, November 23 at Lumen Field. The Seahawks vs. 49ers match is one of several Thanksgiving games, a primetime NFC West starting at 8:20 p.m. E.T.

The Niners have won two straight games since their bye week. They are fresh from a 27-14 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 27-14, on Sunday, November 19, and will be looking for another win against the Seahawks.

Brock Purdy played well against the Bucs, finishing with three touchdowns. However, that win cost the Niners a player with safety Talanoa Hufanga ruled out for the season after suffering a torn ACL.

On the other hand, Seattle dropped its second game in a row when they lost to the Los Angeles Rams, 17-16, also on Sunday. It was a disappointing loss for the Seahawks, who led most of the way against the Rams before letting the game slip away in the final minutes, USA Today reported.

It is worse for the Seahawks because Geno Smith and Kenneth Walker III got injured, raising concerns about their availability against the 49ers.

Seahawks vs. 49ers Week 12 Odds

The Niners are 6.5-point favorites against the Seahawks in this Thanksgiving matchup. The Moneyline is -333 for San Francisco and +245 for Seattle per BetMGM Sportsbook via AZ Central.

Considering the Seahawks have not fared well in Lumen field, head coach Pete Carroll will be in for a tough match. Further, the Niners are 3-2 on Thanksgiving Day games, while the Seahawks are 2-2. It may all boil down to the team that executes well with the manpower they have at the moment.

Seahawks vs. 49ers Week 12 Preview

The Niners are rolling once more after a 5-0 start. It appears that bye week has done wonders for Kyle Shanahan's charges, particularly Purdy.

However, their defensive efforts were key in their win over the Buccaneers. It has noticeably stepped up since they got back on the winning track, allowing only 17 points per game while holding down opponents to an average of 15.7 points per SI.com.

For the Seahawks, it will be interesting to see how they will be able to perform against the Niners with Smith hurting and Walker III out.

Smith is still smarting from that hit he took from Aaron Donald, although he managed to return against the Rams. Walker, Seattle's leading rusher, suffered an oblique strain against Los Angeles and could be out against San Francisco.

In the latest update from NFL reporter Omar Ruiz, Smith is listed as questionable, while Walker is doubtful. With Walker possibly unavailable, Carroll will likely turn to Zach Charbonnet to fill in the void.

Charbonnet got his chance against the Rams. While he did have 21 touches, his performance was deemed inefficient.

Seahawks vs. 49ers Week 12 Pick

The 49ers appear primed to get another win over the Seahawks if they continue to perform well on both ends. But the key to winning will be their defensive stance once more.

With Seattle undermanned, Carroll will have to dig deep and hope other players will step up their game. Smith may play, but his injury is expected to hamper him. It will be another tough Thanksgiving for the Seahawks against the Niners over at Lumen Field.
